Trina has been creating original fiber art tapestries since 1989, specializing in applique' landscapes of some of her favorite places in the world.

After art school Trina began to experiment with combining her passion for painting and her childhood love of sewing together into pictorial tapestries that evoke a special feeling of a place. Beginning each tapestry with her photographs, she creates a line drawing of her design called a cartoon. She then literally cuts hundreds of little pieces of fabric, sewing them layer by layer in a French sewing technique called applique', in order to achieve the composition that she desires. She then machine and hand quilts all three layers together and prepares them to hang as a wall hanging. Most pieces are approximately 3' x 4' but can be custom made to the size and scene that the client may choose.

Trina has been showing her work for 35 years in many group shows and 6 one-woman shows in Philadelphia and the region.
Her work has been collected and hangs in many institutions and homes throughout the country.
